An Ancient Tradition Evolved For Today.
Merging the ancient wisdom of India’s slow-culturing process with the precision of modern methods and technologies, DAH! has evolved the craft of traditional India-style yogurt-making for today. Now everyone can experience the DAH! difference, enjoying the rich, creamy goodness of the world’s finest organic yogurts.
What does DAHlicious mean?
The word Dahi translates to yogurt in Hindi. Since we make delicious India-style yogurt products, it was a natural combination.
What’s different about DAHlicious?
We are the only company that takes modern food technology combined with time tested wisdom of ancient Indian culinary traditions to produce all organic, premium, slow-cultured, high probiotic products in both dairy and plant-based offerings.
Why make both dairy and plant-based products?
Making the highest quality yogurt products is who we are. We can’t imagine not having plant-based yogurts as well for those that are vegan or just want to reduce their reliance on animal products.
How can I get Dahlicious in my local store?
Can’t find us in your area? Stores want to carry products their customers want to buy, and with that in mind, talk to your local dairy buyer and request to see our products on shelves. A little nudge can go a long way.
Are your products organic?
All of Dahlicious products are certified organic by Baystate Organic Certifiers. For more information, visit http://baystateorganic.org/
Are your products gluten-free?
Yes, all of Dahlicious products are gluten-free.
Are your products GMO-free?
Yes. Although we are not certified GMO-free, the use of genetic engineering, or genetically modified organisms (GMOs), is prohibited in organic products. This means an organic farmer can’t plant GMO seeds and an organic cow can’t eat GMO alfalfa or corn.
Are your dairy products lactose-free?
The probiotic bacteria in our cultures eat 99% of the lactose.
How long should a bottle of Lassi last in the fridge when opened?
All of our products, including lassi, will last anywhere from 7-10 days when properly re-sealed and promptly returned to the refrigerator.
Why is grass-fed whole milk better for you?
CLAs (conjugated linoleic acids) are three times greater in grass-fed milk compared to regular milk. Studies have shown that CLAs promote muscle growth, burn fat more efficiently, aid in the prevention of cancer, support your immune system and lower the risk of heart disease/diabetes. Organic grass-fed milk also contains 63% more omega-3 fatty acids than standard milk. Omega-3s reduce the risk of heart disease, cancer and arthritis, as well as help
improve blood pressure, brain function, and reduce inflammation.
Where do our ingredients come from?
Carefully vetted organic farms and suppliers from around the world. We never use artificial
flavorings or essences.
Why do you use almonds from Spain rather than California?
Because organic Spanish almonds, although costlier and smaller in size, have superior taste. We make the best tasting almond milk yogurts as a result.
Is your packaging recyclable?
Yes. Our bottles are made from recycled HDPE (High Density Polyethylene). In general HDPE packaging can be recycled and reproduced again up to 10 times. We also recommend removing plastic labels from the bottles before recycling to avoid them from being rejected by your local recycling center. Our yogurt cups are made from PP5 (Polypropylene) and are widely accepted by curbside recycling pickups.
